Rating Our Adventures
We think it's important for your enjoyment to choose an adventure that is suitable for your fitness level. Because we offer a wide variety of trips with so many different activities, we rate our trips by the level of condition we recommend you should be in to enjoy the trip. If you have any doubt about a trip's suitability, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Level 1: Easy Trips with this rating require basic good health but no particular physical conditioning. You can opt out of some of the activities on the itinerary and thus have a more relaxed vacation, or you can do everything we offer and be as active as you choose. These adventures are ideal for women who are positive and open-minded, and new to active vacations. Wilderness Setting Base Camp Focus. Day trips of 4 – 6 hours, no loads carried. Low level fitness required. Level 2: ModerateThese trips require a moderate level of conditioning, such as walking for 30 minutes, 4 times a week. Women who do not regularly exercise can also enjoy these trips and may find that they are more tired than usual at the end of the day. Wilderness Setting Moderate terrain. Gear carried by person, bike or kayak. 4 – 6 hours of activity per day. Moderate fitness level required. Level 3: Moderate + These trips are suitable for women who are in good physical condition. Wilderness Setting Either moderate terrain or moderate loads. 5 – 7 hours of activity per day. Good physical condition required. Level 4: Challenging Wilderness Setting Often challenging terrain, sometimes long days, either carrying heavy packs or travelling with loaded bikes or kayaks. Good to excellent physical fitness is required. Often remote settings.
